Alcohol a Factor in Sterling Accident

A 49-year-old Soldotna man, Michael Sonju, was transported to hospital last week after his pickup truck slid off the roadway and over an embankment. Just after 7:30pm on January 20th, State Troopers responded to the accident near Mile 66 of the Sterling Highway, where Mr. Sonju was trapped in his vehicle.

Sonju received injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to CPH for treatment.  Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the incident and investigation is continuing.
