The Alaska Redistricting Board today took the next step with its new electoral boundaries by filing its notice of compliance in the Fairbanks Superior Court. That document, as well as supplements, will be available on the Redistricting Board website by the close of business today.
We’ve previously reported that if certified, the Board’s new boundaries will send Peninsula voters back to the ballot box in 2014 to choose new state senators. You can view the 2013 Proclamation Plan by clicking here. That plan was adopted on July 14 after hours of public testimony and a Board review of more than 20 different plans.
The final plan is said to be similar to the plan which was in effect prior to the 2012 changes.
