Alaska Averages Lower College Tuition Compared To Other States

Hikes in public college tuition were lower this school year than in the past 30 years, according to the trends in College Pricing,

a report out by the College Board.

Alaska is among the lowest, but author Sandy Baum says in-state tuition varies greatly from state to state…

Baum: “The lowest average public tuition price is actually in Wyoming, where it’s 4,000 dollars and in Alaska, it’s about 5,900 dollars. And at the other end of the spectrum, in New Hampshire, public universities are 14,700 dollars.”
