ACES a “Short-Term Cash Cow” According to Deputy Commissioner

The Deputy Commissioner for the State Department of Revenue, Bruce Tangeman, will be speaking today to The Alliance about the governor’s new oil tax, SB21. Tangeman pointed to declining production and investment.

With the polarizing arguments about SB21, we asked Tangeman why he thinks State Democrats want to remain with ACES…

Tangeman: “Cash. It is cash. ACES as a tax system is a cash cow for the state, and they’re looking at in a short-term view. The Governor is saying, he’s looking at it for this generation, but two, three, four, five generations down the road.”

The meeting is being broadcast live on KSRM 920AM from 12:30pm.
