Crews from Homer Electric and the Kenai Police Department were called to the report of a power line being brought down on Second Street yesterday afternoon. Kenai Police Sergeant Ben Langham spoke to our news department as the accident scene was still being cleared, yesterday.
A small portion of Second Street had to be closed off until repairs could be made to the pole. Langham said the road closure was not a major problem since it services only a few homes. Homer Electric Association spokesperson Joe Gallagher said the repairs were made last night to the pole. Power had to be turned off to nine HEA members while the repairs were being made; but, was restored last night.
