Saturday evening the Kenai Police Department received a report from an individual that was driving down a trail, on the West side of Kenai, that they had located clothing and what appeared to be human remains.
Officers responded to the area between Alpine Drive and Borgen Ave, where they located the clothing and human remains.
Initial investigation of the scene revealed several items that indicate it may be related to the Kenai family of four which was missing since May 2014. However, complete scene investigation will take some time, after which law enforcement will be able to positively identify the remains.
An FBI team is on the way to the area to assist the Kenai Police Department’s investigation.
Members of the missing family include 23 year-old Rebecca Adams, 3 year-old Jarraca Hundley, 6 year-old Michelle Hundley, and 38 year-old Brandon Jividen. The family dog “Sparks” was also missing.
KSRM will have further details Monday after a noon press conference with Kenai Police.
