Two long-time Soldotna principals will be retiring soon.
Interim Superintendent Sean Dusek said Principal Todd Syverson of SoHi and Principal Lee Young of Connections are retiring and those meetings start today.
Dusek: “At 4 o’clock at the SoHi Library I’ll be going through the hiring process with the Soldotna community about Soldotna High School. And then Wednesday at 5 o’clock I’ll be in the Connections Soldotna office.”
He said the meetings with the communities will be to ask parents and administrators their input.
Dusek: “I’m looking for answers to the following questions: what qualities are you looking for in the next principal and questions might you like to see asked at the interview? And that’ll help us determine the candidates that’ll be brought forward some time in February when we do that, and we’ll talk about possible dates for interviews.”
