92 girls will be wearing special dresses to Prom and Homecoming this year, as Cinderella’s Closet winds down for 2012.
Creator Meggean Bos said girls came from across the Peninsula, with one teacher even flying across with dress requests…
Bos: “A counselor who came from our schools across the water, Susan B that’s in Seldovia, Nanwalek and Port Graham. And she had found out from some of her girls what they were interested in, what their sizes were, and she came over here to pick out some dresses for them to fly over the water.”
Bos said the Closet had a wide variety of dresses, and both short and long styles were snapped up. She said donations will be accepted throughout the year at any Peninsula High School, though it’s best if they’re dropped off to SoHi.
In particular, Bos said they could use more dresses size 10 through 16, which were especially popular.
