Three of the 13 Troopers graduating in Sitka today will be stationed on the Kenai Peninsula.

Beth Ispen with the Troopers confirmed that Troopers Anthony Will, Anthony Sondergaard, and David Nussbaum will all be stationed here.

While the trio will graduate today, Ipsen said they still have to undergo three weeks of Trooper Basic training at the academy, where they’ll receive more specific training in fish and wildlife investigations, boating safety, survival, commercial fisheries enforcement, media relations, critical stress management, patrol rifle training, the pepper ball and Stinger spike system.

They then progress to 15 weeks of Field Training and Evaluation.
