Harold Heinze, with the Alaska Natural Gas Development Authority, told his audience in Kenai, last week, that natural gas from a bullet line traveling on its own from the North Slope would cost the consumer more than natural gas that originally leaves the North Slope from a bigger gas line.

Commercial Fishermen in the Upper Cook Inlet are being allowed more fishing time as a result of a larger number of salmon returning to the Kenai River. The total Kenai River sockeye salmon run to date is 2.2 million fish. Because the total Kenai River sockeye salmon run has exceeded 2 million fish, management now falls under the guidelines for run sizes between 2 and 4 million fish.
