Marcus Mueller, in the Borough Land Management Office, said he was pleasantly surprised to receive over a thousand comments on the Municipal Lands Selection process…
Mueller: “The public comments finished on February 28th. We received almost 1,200 surveys from individuals around the Borough on over 300 units of state land. We’re going to be using that information to help guide our decision-making process to identify lands that are meaningful for the Borough to pursue through it’s Municipal Entitlement.”
Mueller said there were many comments in favor of recreational lands, as well as those beneficial for the ecological health of the area, community expansion and agriculture.
As the selections are refined, public comment will open again in May, and the findings will be presented to the Borough Assembly in July.
